Hens & Chicks are a low growing succulent perennial that looks almost like a rubbery rose. The Ruby Heart exhibits a sharp, silvery blue tip with a flushed ruby red near the base. The mother rosette(Hen) in the center will spread offsets(Chicks) in all directions and later on grown roots of their own to become an individual plant themselves. During the summertime, a thick flowering stalk will rise from the center of the hen rosette and bear a pink/purple flower.
