Light: English ivy grow well in part to full shade. If grown indoors, they need bright light. In the summer indirect light while in the winter direct light is recommended.
Soil: Although they will grow in wide range of soil types, well drained soil is recommended. Indoor ivy thrives best in potting mix with well drained soil.
Water: When watering, always check soil to see if dry. Ivys prefer to be on the dryer side compared to most plants.
